Fujairah is the 5th largest emirate. Next stop is Fujairah Fort that was originally built during the 17th century. The oldest fort in the UAE, it once served as the residence of Fujairah’s ruling family, besides a defensive structure. Get enlightened on the region’s historic past, unique culture and traditions on a trip to Fujairah Museum. Arts and artifacts on view mainly cover archeological finds from regions like Bitnah, Qidfah etc. This ranges from pre-Islamic coins to ancient vessels, painted pottery, and bowl made using ostrich egg. Fascinatingly, most of them date back to Bronze Age and Iron Age.
Another unique attraction included in the itinerary is, Bidya Mosque, which is the country’s oldest mosque – dating back to 15th century.
